Cody Rhodes breaks silence after WWE Clash at the Castle

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes recently took to social media to break his silence after his major match at the Clash at the Castle 2024 Premium Live Event. The spectacle emanated live from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

After defeating AJ Styles at the 2024 King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event, Rhodes locked horns with The Phenomenal One in a rematch at Clash at the Castle. It was a back-and-forth match as both stars showcased their incredible strength inside the squared circle. During the last stages of the bout, The American Nightmare brought steel steps inside the ring, but before he could hit Styles, the latter said "I Quit" and the 38-year-old star retained his gold.

Cody Rhodes recently took to X/Twitter to send a message following his massive win. Rhodes thanked the crowd in Glasgow, Scotland, for their wonderful reception and the crew that were working for the show.

"We make history with every step. Thank you Glasgow for being a wonderful host and the @OVOHydro / the wonderful crew working for @WWE @WWEUK. Let’s keep going," Cody Rhodes shared.

Vince Russo believes WWE does not have any plans for Cody Rhodes' title reign

During a recent edition of Writing with Russo, former WWE head writer Vince Russo said that he believed Cody Rhodes' current feuds are just fillers until The Rock or Roman Reigns return to television.

Russo also mentioned that the Stamford-based promotion did not have any plans for The American Nightmare's title reign.

"Just another filler till we get to The Rock or Roman Reigns, that's all it is. With all the emphasis they put into, 'He's [Cody Rhodes] gotta finish his story!' They [World Wrestling Entertainment] had zero plans in place for after he finished his story. They should have had heels lined up—strong heels! They had nothing. So you literally got the champion by just kind of wallowing in a sea [of obscurity]. Yeah, man, that's where he is," Vince Russo said.

Following his brutal "I Quit" match, Cody Rhodes was attacked by The Bloodline but Randy Orton and Kevin Owens made the save. Many fans believe we might see a feud between Orton and Rhodes soon, as the former could be seen eyeing the Undisputed WWE Championship.
