Cody Rhodes confirms what's next after brutal "I Quit" Match versus AJ Styles

Cody Rhodes may not have closed WWE's Clash at the Castle: Scotland Premium Live Event, but that did not stop him from leaving it all in the ring and stealing the show with AJ Styles. The two reliable workhorses of the Stamford-based promotion put on an amazing show on a card that predominantly revolved around Drew McIntyre's quest to win the World Heavyweight Championship in front of his countrymen in Glasgow, Scotland.

The two veteran performers fought tooth and nail in the opening contest of the show. The violent battering until one man was forced to say "I Quit," stood out on the match card. Rhodes admitted on social media today that he is still banged up from yesterday's blockbuster bout.

Taking to Instagram, he commented on the barnburner he had with AJ Styles last night, acknowledging his rival's brutality. Along with this, he also confirmed that Solo Sikoa and clan are on his radar now. Post-match, the new Bloodline assaulted him. This prompted Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to rush to The American Nightmare's aid.

"Still buzzing from that environment last night - body feels like it was thrown down a rocky cliffside but still...Such a fever for this. What do we do next? Besides bust up Solo's team," Cody wrote.

Solo Sikoa had claimed during a backstage segment on SmackDown ahead of the show that he had Cody Rhodes in check. He said this to Paul Heyman, who was not sure what to make of it. The Wiseman had reminded Sikoa that the goal is for them to keep The American Nightmare in check for when Roman Reigns returns.

Is WWE planning Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa in the not-too-distant future?

From the looks of it, even if The Head of the Table were to make a comeback, the new Bloodline might have no intention of taking marching orders from him.

Instead, Sikoa could be next in line to challenge Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. Veteran wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer, discussed on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE's plans for "a big destination match" between The American Nightmare and Solo Sikoa.

While Money in the Bank is the next premium live event the Stamford-based wrestling promotion is hosting from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, on July 6, the company could very well save their fight for a later date.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that a Six-Man Tag Team match gets added to the upcoming show, considering how WWE's creative team has built up the story between Sikoa, the Tongans on one side, and Orton, Owens, and Rhodes on the other.

Interestingly, The Legend Killer was seen eyeing the Undisputed WWE Championship belt, which was on Cody's shoulders following the brawl against Sikoa and company.
