Cody Rhodes confronted by top RAW faction to set up a huge main event on SmackDown
Cody Rhodes was confronted by a top RAW faction in what is now known as the "Transfer Window," ahead of the RAW premiere on Netflix. It set up a huge main event on SmackDown.
In an unexpected moment, the Undisputed WWE Champion was interrupted by the rising RAW faction American Made. Chad Gable got the lion's share of the boos, with the crowd telling him how they felt about it with loud "You suck" chants.
Chad Gable went on to call Cody Rhodes a terrible friend and a superficial human being for what he did to Kevin Owens. After analyzing Rhodes' situation, Gable concluded that Cody was wrong and Owens was right. This was based on his experience of Otis "leaving" him at his lowest moment.
The crowd began chanting "Shorty G" at him, and Cody said, "Shorty G, you're looking at Stardust." Cody said that he saw a lot of himself in Gable - maximizing his minutes and doing the best that's given to him.
Gable told Rhodes to shut up because he didn't know him and Cody responded by saying he knew he was there to talk to Nick Aldis. This "Transfer Window" likely means that we're going to see more interbrand matches.
What it will do is set up several such main events - with Cody Rhodes vs. Chad Gable being set up for tonight's SmackDown.
