Cody Rhodes discloses what was going through his mind when The Rock called him out at the WWE Hall of Fame
Cody Rhodes has reflected on being called out by The Rock at the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. He said that a lot of things were going through his mind during that moment.
At WrestleMania XL Night One, The Great One and Roman Reigns teamed up to take on The American Nightmare and Seth Rollins in a tag team match. The People's Champion pinned Cody at the event to give his team the victory. The night before the show, The People's Champion inducted his late grandmother Lia Maivia into the WWE Hall of Fame. He called out Rhodes during the segment and told him that what was going to happen at The Show of Shows was personal.
Speaking to Randy Orton on the latest edition of What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Cody Rhodes stated that when The Rock called him out, he was unsure whether to stand up. He also didn't know when to sit down.
"[The] Rock is talking about something and then decides to turn and start cutting a promo on me, and this is The Rock. And I'm [asking myself] do I stand up? I stood up. Now when do I sit down? Also Brandy refused to stand up for him. You know, everybody stands up she refused. You're the only one. Oh God, the heat. Which is her personality," said Rhodes. [6:50-7:24]
The American Nightmare vs. The Rock is a match that is expected to take place at WrestleMania next year.

On the WrestleMania XL fallout episode of WWE RAW, The Rock confronted Cody Rhodes in the ring, and it was clear from that moment that things were not over yet between the two stars.
