Cody Rhodes doesn't want to fight Erling Haaland

Reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is not interested in being inside the squared circle with Manchester City superstar striker Erling Haaland. Rhodes recently explained why he's not open to facing Haaland in a match.

The American Nightmare and the rest of the WWE roster have been in the United Kingdom since the weekend for four big live events in Cardiff, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Manchester. The Undisputed WWE Champion did some promotional work for the company, including an appearance for Manchester City.

In a short video uploaded by the club on X, The American Nightmare was asked which Man City player was the least likely he'd battle inside the squared circle. Rhodes quickly answered Haaland, who stands at six-foot-four inches and weighs around 194 pounds.

"I'd say Erling Haaland here, as you can see. Kind of looks like the type of guy who would beat you up outside of his bus, which I have a bad habit of. That's been going on a lot lately. [I] don't want to get into it with him, long limbs, too. That's a whole other mess," Rhodes said.

Cody Rhodes referenced getting attacked outside his bus, as he has been a victim of the same twice this year. The Rock beat him to a bloody pulp last March, while Kevin Owens recently beat him after WWE Bad Blood.

Cody Rhodes wants WrestleMania to take place in the United Kingdom

John Cena teased the possibility of having WrestleMania in the United Kingdom last year at the Money in the Bank event held in London. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes spoke to BBC News recently and revealed that he would want to see The Grandest Stage of Them All grace the UK in the next five years.

"If I'm aiming, it would be cool to get it (in the UK) in the next five years. There's some really big venues over here that could host a WrestleMania. I think American fans would jump at the chance to come to a WrestleMania (overseas), whether that be in Manchester or London; I think they'd go nuts for it," Rhodes said. [H/T: BBC]

Cody has defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in three Steel Cage Matches on the current tour. They are set to battle again on Wednesday night in Manchester.
