Cody Rhodes drops major spoiler for Crown Jewel ahead of WWE Bad Blood
Bad Blood will emanate from State Farm Arena in Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes' home state of Georgia. On October 5, Rhodes will join forces with Roman Reigns to take down The Bloodline. They are certainly a mismatched duo, but it appears there is more than what meets the eye.
The American Nightmare was a special guest on The Pat McAfee Show today, days before the blockbuster tag team main event. He spilled the tea on what fans can expect at Bad Blood, which directly has "title implications" for Crown Jewel 2024.
During the chat, Pat McAfee discussed the upcoming showdown pitting Cody Rhodes and Reigns against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. He also pointed to the fact that Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Title will not be on the line this weekend. This was when The American Nightmare took over the conversation to give a "spoiler."
"Not on the line this weekend, but there is something that happens at Bad Blood. I guess a video package or vignette that is going to play in the show. I've got to keep it vague, but there are big title implications for Crown Jewel. Sorry for being so vague, but a little spoiler there," Rhodes revealed.
On SmackDown's return to the USA Network in September, Cody Rhodes successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa. This was Sikoa's second shot at The American Nightmare's gold on a televised show.
Cody Rhodes hopes to headline WrestleMania for the third straight year in 2025
It is unclear who Cody Rhodes' next challenger will be. Since WWE often makes a big deal out of their Saudi Arabia shows, a WrestleMania rematch between The American Nightmare and The Tribal Chief is not out of the realm of possibility.
As for WrestleMania 41, Rhodes addressed the difficulty that comes with earning another spot in the main event of The Grandest Stage of Them All. He also noted that it would be an important event.
"WrestleMania 41, I am looking to do what I have already done three times now and enter the main event. But I think it will be something that perhaps is bigger than anyone anticipated."
WWE Hall of Famers Bully Ray and Mark Henry recently discussed the chances of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ending The American Nightmare's reign at WrestleMania 41. Will The Final Boss pursue Rhodes' gold upon his comeback? Fans must stay tuned to find out.
