Cody Rhodes drops major spoiler about WWE Bad Blood return
Cody Rhodes seemingly dropped a major return tease during his appearance today on The Pat McAfee Show. The American Nightmare will be teaming up with Roman Reigns on Saturday at WWE Bad Blood.
Rhodes and Reigns met at Georgia Tech Stadium last month on SmackDown and agreed to work together at the premium live event to battle The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match.
Rhodes appeared on The Pat McAfee Show today, and the former RAW commentator asked him if "the big guy" was coming back this week. Rhodes was hesitant to answer before replying, "Which one?". McAfee then hilariously claimed that Rhodes told him enough, as seen in the video below.
Rhodes defeated Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania XL. On the RAW after 'Mania, The Rock confronted The American Nightmare and warned that he would be coming after him when he returned down the line.
Former WWE writer criticizes Cody Rhodes' storyline on SmackDown
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo is not a fan of the storyline between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens on WWE SmackDown.
Rhodes defeated Owens at Bash in Berlin to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. The Prizefighter has seemingly been getting frustrated with Rhodes in recent weeks, potentially hinting at a heel turn.
On Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown with Vince Russo, the veteran claimed that the creative team was only turning Owens heel so he could have another match against Rhodes.
"Here's why this is such a massive waste of time. We just had a match at the last pay-per-view. We just had Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. They kind of teased a Kevin Owens turn and they did not go there. So what are they doing, bro? They're continuing that same exact story. And why are they continuing the same exact story? I'll tell you why. Because there's going to be a Kevin Owens turn so they can get another Kevin Owens Cody Rhodes match out of it." [5:15 onwards]

Rhodes successfully defended his title against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match last month on SmackDown. It will be fascinating to see who wins the tag team match on Saturday at WWE Bad Blood.
