Cody Rhodes FINALLY breaks silence after getting attacked by Kevin Owens post-WWE Bad Blood

Cody Rhodes suffered a brutal betrayal after WWE Bad Blood as he was attacked by Kevin Owens backstage. While The American Nightmare had so far refused to comment on the incident, he finally shared his thoughts during an interview with Manchester Evening News.

WWE planted the seed of dissension between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes when the two fought for the Undisputed WWE Championship. While The Prizefighter kept his instincts under check for a while, Rhodes teaming up with Roman Reigns was seemingly the last straw for him as he attacked the champion after his match at the recently concluded premium live event.

Cody Rhodes refused to talk about the shocking turn of events on RAW when asked by Sami Zayn. He, however, briefly touched on the topic during the aforementioned interview:

"I’d be foolish to try and tell you anything different because the entire videoiexists online and you can see every inch of it. I’ll try and keep my remarks short in terms of how I feel but I will tell you this: It’s a very passionate industry, everybody wants the north star of our business which is the WWE Championship and the championship that I hold at this time. I don’t know if you’ll see this unfold on screens, on SmackDown, on Raw or when we come overseas. Pro wrestling and sports entertainment tends to dive into that. Perhaps it does, or perhaps its dealt internally…"

The American Nightmare continued:

"I did feel very happy about my match at Bad Blood. I was happy for the city of Atlanta, that being the city that raised me. Everything happened and appeared and I was happy for Atlanta and the WWE because it feels like the road to WrestleMania started early this year."

Triple H acknowledged Kevin Owens' post-WWE Bad Blood attack on Cody Rhodes

While WWE did not cover the parking lot brawl between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes, the incident was captured by fans in the arena and started making rounds online. Triple H, however, acknowledged the altercation between the two and noted that the matter would be dealt with internally.

Kevin Owens suffered a lot against Roman Reigns' iteration of Bloodline and The Prizefighter was seemingly happy with one of his closest friends joining forces with The OTC. KO will likely explain his action during the upcoming edition of SmackDown.
