Cody Rhodes finally confronts longtime rival at recent WWE event

Cody Rhodes finally confronted a longtime rival at a WWE Live Event in Mexico City on July 13. The American Nightmare is currently involved in a rivalry with The Bloodline on SmackDown.

Rhodes agreed to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam. The Bloodline attacked Cody Rhodes in the final segment of this past Friday's edition of SmackDown and beat Randy Orton down as well. The veteran defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL to become the champion but suffered a heartbreaking loss to The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 39. Following the match, a rubber chicken was thrown into the ring and the moment went viral.

Another rubber chicken was thrown into the ring during a WWE Live Event over the weekend and Cody Rhodes hilariously confronted it. He held it up next to his title as seen in the image below.

Former WWE writer criticizes Cody Rhodes' presentation

Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell has disclosed why he doesn't view Cody Rhodes as a tough guy.

Speaking on this past Friday's edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell noted that Rhodes often smiles for the camera despite being involved in a bitter rivalry. The veteran added Rhodes should be more concerned with having to face Jacob Fatu and The Bloodline.

"Cody's over. His merchandise is selling. I'm still not sold on him. The way he goes to the ring, he's impeccably dressed. But he doesn't look like a bada*s. He's smiling a little bit and you know he's doing that all for the camera. That's all fine and good. But the belief is he's supposed to go in there against a monster and I think I would be looking just a little bit differently if I was going in there against a guy like Fatu." [From 09:02 to 09:38]

Roman Reigns still has not returned to SmackDown since his loss at WrestleMania XL. It will be fascinating to see how Reigns responds to Solo Sikoa naming himself the new Tribal Chief and his decision to brutally attack Paul Heyman.
