Cody Rhodes gives shoutout to WWE RAW star ahead of major title match
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes gave a shoutout to a popular star ahead of a title match on tonight's edition of RAW. Rhodes will be teaming up with Roman Reigns to battle The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood.
Jey Uso is set to battle Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship tonight on RAW. The 26-year-old leveled Main Event Jey with a Spear last week ahead of their title match tonight on the red brand. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso captured the WWE Tag Team Championship last year at Fastlane 2023, but their title reign did not last long.
The American Nightmare shared a one-word message to show support for his friend ahead of his Intercontinental Championship match tonight on RAW.
"YEET!" he wrote.
Cody Rhodes successfully defended his title against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage match on the September 13 edition of SmackDown. The Bloodline attacked after the match, but Roman Reigns rushed to the ring to help his former rival. Reigns and Rhodes met at Georgia Tech this past Friday night and agreed to put their differences aside to battle The Bloodline at Bad Blood on October 5.

Hall of Famer Teddy Long recently discussed how the crowd reacted to Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns agreeing to team up at Bad Blood.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine show, Long stated that the live crowd had an interesting reaction to the promo between Reigns and Rhodes on SmackDown. Long noted that the crowd was unsure how to react and is likely waiting to see how the storyline plays out in the weeks ahead.
"Basically the reaction there was maybe, now maybe this is kinda what we want... Then again, I could hear, 'Well we don't know yet.' So I think we're just gonna have to wait and see how this plays out." [10:50 onwards]

Roman Reigns warned Cody Rhodes that he would be coming after the Undisputed WWE Championship once again following their rivalry with The Bloodline. It will be fascinating to see which team emerges victorious next month at Bad Blood.
