Cody Rhodes losing his Undisputed WWE Title to 52-year-old legend is "definitely possible" (Exclusive)

Cody Rhodes has been on the top of the WWE roster for a while now. The American Nightmare finished his story when he defeated Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania XL.

One of the major players on Reigns' side throughout the Road to WrestleMania 40, The Rock, came face to face with Rhodes on RAW after WrestleMania. Both men teased a major match for the Undisputed WWE Championship, which fans have been waiting to witness since then. The anticipation of The Rock defeating Rhodes for the title has been building up over the past few weeks.

According to WrestleVotes on a live Q&A with Bill Apter on Backstage Pass, The Rock dethroning Cody Rhodes to become the Undisputed WWE Champion has been on the table since the end of WrestleMania XL. Not only that, but the plan is still being considered and the People's Champion ending Rhodes' reign is quite a possibility.

“Yeah, of course that’s possible. That’s been on the table since the end of Philadelphia last year. That’s definitely possible,” reported WrestleVotes. (9:04 onwards)

The Rock marked his grand return to the company at WWE Bad Blood 2024 after Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated the team of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match.

The People's Champion is being named as the force behind Solo Sikoa's latest run as The Tribal Chief, and a possible return ahead of Survivor Series is being anticipated by the WWE Universe.

With the WarGames match coming up, a plethora of fans have been expecting the 52-year-old to join The New Bloodline as the fifth member to face the OG Bloodline. Time will tell what WWE has in store for The Rock next.
