Cody Rhodes makes an emotional post about his "most loyal" friend's final work road trip: "He's been a constant for me"

Cody Rhodes has been one of WWE's biggest stars ever since returning to the company a few years back. In an emotional post, the star has shared a message for his most loyal friend, Pharaoh.

The star "finished" his story recently when he beat Roman Reigns at the WrestleMania 40 event, overcoming overwhelming odds. Heading into SummerSlam, he's facing more of the same, as he will be outnumbered once again should the New Bloodline choose to interfere in his title match against Solo Sikoa.

Cody Rhodes made an emotional post on Instagram about his famous dog, Pharaoh. The dog has been featured regularly in wrestling in the past, with Pharaoh coming out with him when he was in AEW. He's even featured on WWE shows with Rhodes in the past as well, although less prominently.

Cody revealed that he was taking Pharaoh on his final work road trip as he was now slowing down, having reached 13 years of age. He said he loved Pharaoh and that he had been a constant for him through the years, calling him his most loyal friend.

"Pharaoh is 13 now - still thriving but slowing down a bit... I am taking him on his final work road trip. These days he's more comfortable keeping eyes on Libby Curls and hard napping at the house. All the treats (for dogs and humans), and all the love. He's been a constant for me and hands down the most loyal friend. Love ya' buddy!"

Cody Rhodes has the New Bloodline to worry about at SummerSlam

Rhodes is set for a huge match at SummerSlam. He will be wrestling for the title against the Bloodline once again, but instead of Roman Reigns, this time, it's against Solo Sikoa.

However, much like Reigns, Sikoa won't be alone. The newly arrived Bloodline has proven dangerous, taking out Rhodes' supporters in Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.

Now, it remains to be seen if Rhodes will be able to emerge from the match with his championship reign intact.
