Cody Rhodes makes huge claim about relationship with Roman Reigns ahead of WWE Bad Blood
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes recently addressed his relationship with Roman Reigns ahead of their tag team match at Bad Blood. He claimed they create magic together in the ring.
Following his return to WWE in 2022, The American Nightmare expressed his intention to go after the Undisputed Championship, then held by Roman Reigns. Although he lost to the Original Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 39, he succeeded in ending Reigns' historic title reign at the Show of Shows earlier this year. Despite their rivalry, the two will join forces this Saturday to fight their common enemy, Solo Sikoa's Bloodline.
Ahead of their tag team match at Bad Blood, Rhodes addressed his relationship with Reigns. He claimed The Original Tribal Chief brings something out of him, stating that there's magic about them being together in the ring:
"Every now and then, you find somebody that you stand across from the ring, whether you love them, hate them, know nothing about them, know everything about them, that there's a spark, there's a magic. He brings something out of me. When I look at nutrition. When I look at dialing in, when I look at focus, when I look at the structure of a wrestling match, when I look at a premium event, whatever it might be, he brings something out of me that I don't think I knew was there. I would hope I do the same for him. Cause there's a lot of great stories to be told 30 years from now when we're old and gray about record business being done," he said. [H/T: Uproxx Sports]
Ex-WWE host thinks Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes III could happen next year
Many expect Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns to eventually have a third match after the two massive WWE Superstars exchanged victories at WrestleMania 39 and 40. The Original Tribal Chief also made it clear to The American Nightmare that he would go after his title after dealing with The Bloodline.
Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, former WWE host Matt Camp stated that he would not be surprised if Rhodes versus Reigns III happened on the first episode of RAW on Netflix:
"I think January 6th, 2025, when Netflix gets RAW for the very first time, is going to have at least one very big match. If they did Cody [vs.] Roman again to start Netflix, and I think they're gonna have to mess with the rosters a little bit with RAW going to two hours, you know, maybe SmackDown will go to three next year, I think they're gonna put something very big on that show. And if you did Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns for the third time on that show, I would not be surprised," he said.
Many are currently skeptical about Rhodes and Reigns' ability to work together at Bad Blood. It would be interesting to see if they could defeat Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa.
