Cody Rhodes makes massive claim before teaming with Roman Reigns vs. The Bloodline at WWE Bad Blood
Cody Rhodes will team up with Roman Reigns against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood. Ahead of the anticipated clash, The American Nightmare made a massive claim.
The Undisputed WWE Champion has been feuding with The Bloodline for several months on SmackDown. He defeated the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa twice to retain his title. This Saturday, the 39-year-old will unexpectedly join forces with his former rival, The Original Tribal Chief, to fight Sikoa and his personal enforcer, Jacob Fatu, in a tag team match.
In a recent interview with Complex, Rhodes claimed maybe it has become his job to end The Bloodline's dominant reign in the Stamford-based company:
“If anything, maybe my job is just to be the one who beats them. It's one of the greatest sagas in the history of not just pro-wrestling and sports entertainment and entertainment in general. If I get to be the guy who came in and beat them, gosh, I know that sounds. It might sound a little aggressive, but certainly it's family business until they involve me," he said. [H/T: Complex]
Can Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeat The Bloodline at WWE Bad Blood?
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns had a heated confrontation before their match against The Bloodline at Bad Blood. Although they vowed to have each other's backs in the fight, the tension between them was clear. The Original Tribal Chief even told his partner that he was standing in his way "in life."
On the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci predicted that Rhodes and Reigns will lose at Bad Blood:
"You know something's gonna happen with The Bloodline. They're gonna interfere with that match. I don't see Cody or Roman going over at all," he said.
It would be interesting to see if Rhodes and Reigns could work together at the upcoming premium live event despite their history.
