Cody Rhodes has only one request for Roman Reigns as they meet face-to-face on WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns stood face-to-face on the football field at Georgia Tech University. While that was Reigns' alma mater, Atlanta is the home of the Undisputed WWE Champion. In an intense back-and-forth, Cody had only one request for The OTC.

This week, WWE advertised a face-to-face between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns as the two get set to team up at Bad Blood 2024 to take on The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. While Reigns tried to get the upper hand (verbally) by stating how important he was to Georgia Tech and stating that it was "his city," he also asked Cody what he did to make Atlanta his city.

Roman also spoke about how the new Bloodline took Jimmy (Uso) away from him and his Wiseman (Paul Heyman). Cody would hit back at Roman by stating that the WWE title Reigns calls "his" isn't actually "his" anymore and even roasted him by stating that there's another Tribal Chief (Solo Sikoa) in WWE.

However, Cody Rhodes asked Roman for one guarantee: he asked for Roman Reigns to have his back at Bad Blood so Cody could have his in turn. Roman seemed to give some assurance before stating that he would eventually be coming for the title that once belonged to him.

It's certainly heating up, and it's going to be interesting to see whether Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes III happens in the next few months. It seems like that's perhaps the next major title defense that WWE is building towards.

Whether it happens at a stage like Crown Jewel or Royal Rumble is yet to be seen. However, it's also clear that the two are anything but friends.

Roman told Cody that he was in his way...in life. Certainly, a fascinating way to end the interaction.
