Cody Rhodes reveals whether or not he dislikes multi-time WWE World Champion

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes is the company's new face following his big win at WrestleMania XL. Recently, The American Nightmare addressed the question of lingering animosity with his predecessor, Roman Reigns.

The Tribal Chief carried the Undisputed WWE Championship for 1316 days before Rhodes dethroned him at The Showcase of the Immortals. In a "Bloodline Rules" match, stars such as John Cena, Jey Uso, The Undertaker, and Seth Rollins appeared to help the 39-year-old become champion.

During an appearance on The Pivot Podcast, Rhodes was asked about his relationship with the former Shield member in and out of the business. The American Nightmare clarified he does not "dislike" Roman Reigns, it's just that they have a great on-screen rivalry.

"I think Roman and I are just great opponents. I don't dislike Roman and I think he doesn't dislike me but when we see ourselves on the poster together, we get it. I'm supposed to beat you, you're supposed to beat me, you're supposed to be the benchmark, I want to be the benchmark," he said. [From 52:32 to 52:47]

Cody Rhodes also expressed a desire to rewatch his WrestleMania matches with The Bloodline member someday. The 39-year-old added:

"Hopefull one day, I'd love to sit with Roman at some point. We've never had that, to sit and talk. Even if we were to watch something back, if WWE organized it where we watch WrestleMania just because our families have been linked for so long, it's kind of fate that put us together." WWE personality says Cody Rhodes might face 32-year-old star and not Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam

The Stamford-based promotion's analyst Sam Roberts recently revealed that fans might witness a one-on-one match between Rhodes and the newest Bloodline member at SummerSlam.

On an episode of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts noted that even though rumors suggest the Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa bout at SummerSlam 2024, Jacob Fatu could also get the shot.

"I think that at SummerSlam, you'll get Cody Rhodes against either Solo Sikoa or Jacob Fatu. Jacob Fatu could be the guy who faces Cody at SummerSlam certainly," said Sam Roberts.

At the 2024 Money in the Bank, The American Nightmare will join forces with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton to battle The Bloodline. It remains to be seen if Roman Reigns makes a surprise return to stop The Street Champion from taking over the mantle.
