Cody Rhodes sends a message after major WWE SummerSlam announcement
WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes has shared his reaction to a major announcement made by the Stamford-based promotion about SummerSlam 2024. The American Nightmare's feud with The Bloodline seems far from over, despite his victory over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL.
The Big Dog went on a hiatus after his 'Mania defeat, and in his absence, Solo Sikoa has taken over the mantle of the heel faction. The former Enforcer has booted out Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman and has recruited Jacob Fatu, Tonga Loa, and Tama Tonga to The Bloodline.
At Money in the Bank 2024, the rejuvenated Bloodline members defeated the trio of Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens in a six-man tag team match. Later, on Friday Night SmackDown, The American Nightmare told The Bloodline 2.0 leader that he was ready to defend his Undisputed WWE Title at The Biggest Party of The Summer.
Instead of responding to the offer, the new Tribal Chief, The Samoan Werewolf, and the Tongan brothers brutally attacked Cody and Randy Orton, who had come to the aid of his former Legacy teammate.
Ahead of SmackDown, the promotion confirmed that Cody Rhodes will defend his title against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio. Today, The American Nightmare reacted to the title match announcement and shared a message with fans on Twitter (X).
"The Undisputed WWE Championship comes to Cleveland," he wrote.

Cody Rhodes spoke highly of top WWE Superstar
At last year's Money in the Bank PLE, Cody Rhodes went one-on-one with The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio. The 39-year-old secured a big win over the second-generation superstar after a thrilling match.
During a conversation with Diamond Dallas Page on DDP Yoga, the Undisputed WWE Champion said that Dirty Dom was a prime example of an excellent heel in the business.
"I know most people say negative, terrible things about Dom [Dominik Mysterio], you know, his current locker room. Dom is the guy, who [sic] I was at WrestleMania 40; maybe it's WrestleMania 50. Who knows what it is? That's someone you're going to watch grow up in front of you and who's clearly delivering on the most important levels," Rhodes said.
