Cody Rhodes shares honest thoughts on Triple H’s WWE takeover
WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes opened up to share his honest opinion on Triple H running the Stamford-based company's creative. With the wrestling promotion setting new records regularly, The Game has received praise for his work from several performers on the roster.
The 55-year-old gained instant fan support for his work as the founder and executive producer of NXT. He was named Head of WWE Creative in 2022 following Vince McMahon's retirement. The latter had been at the helm of affairs since he bought the company from his father in 1982.
The decision to bring in Triple H as Mr. McMahon's replacement was well-received by the fans. Owing to his impressive work as the Head of WWE Creative, the former World Champion took the fifth spot on ESPN's recently released list of the most influential people in boxing, MMA, and wrestling.
While mentioning Triple H on their list, ESPN revealed what Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes had to say about Hunter running the creative. The American Nightmare stated that the former DX member uses the instincts of a World Champion he had even before winning the title. He pointed out that The Game did an impressive job with NXT.
"Triple H in the ring had World Champion instincts long before he ever was one. He applies those instincts expertly today as chief content officer. He was also amongst a handful of players ahead of the curve in terms of evolving the sport which he showcased with the NXT black-and-gold era," Rhodes said.
Rhodes added that Triple H continued with the impressive work on the main roster, guiding the wrestling promotion to unprecedented numbers. The 39-year-old concluded by saying he takes pride in working under the veteran.
"When the moment came for him to take over with Nick Khan and lead the ship creatively, he helped guide WWE to massive television ratings and social engagement increases. I take the field for him with immense pride."
Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown
