Cody Rhodes shares interesting response to The Rock's WWE return

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes shared his reaction to The Rock's return at Bad Blood last month in Atlanta, Georgia. The Final Boss appeared after The American Nightmare and Roman Reigns defeated The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a Tag Team Match in the main event of the premium live event.

In an interview with Cathy Kelley ahead of WWE Crown Jewel, Rhodes shared his thoughts on The Great One making a surprise appearance before the conclusion of Bad Blood. The American Nightmare said that it was The Final Boss reminding everyone that he could show up at any time and anywhere, also joking about the legend being bald.

"Maybe a reminder that he can show up at any point. Do whatever he'd like, and everyone has to follow where The Final Boss goes. He picked his shot, to have arguably the two faces of WWE in there and squeezed his big, bald, shiny, lovely, beautiful head in there, that he's there too," said Rhodes. [From 02:38 - 02:58]

Bill Apter reacts to WWE star Cody Rhodes' retirement plan

Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter recently shared his thoughts on Cody Rhodes' retirement plan.

The 39-year-old disclosed earlier this week that he plans on retiring from full-time competition within the next six years. Apter noted that Rhodes was smart for planning his exit strategy from his in-ring career, and added that the promotion would likely have a role for the SmackDown Superstar once he was ready to hang up his boots.

"He's very smart. Some of these wrestlers take too long, and they are away from their families too much. Their bodies become battered, and they are just not the human beings that they could be if they stop at a young age, like 45. Cody is a family man and he is also very, very bright. I'm sure WWE will take advantage of him in some sort of administrative role as well. So yeah, I see nothing wrong with him retiring at 45 years of age," Apter said.

Cody Rhodes will be facing Gunther for the Crown Jewel Championship at the premium live event tonight in Saudi Arabia.
