Cody Rhodes shares major WWE SummerSlam tease
Cody Rhodes is scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event. The American Nightmare recently shared a sneak peek video on social media.
The 39-year-old has been involved in a heated rivalry with The Bloodline. He joined forces with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to take on the heel faction in a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank. The back-and-forth contest saw the SmackDown Superstars trade blows before Solo Sikoa pinned Cody Rhodes for the win.
On the following edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Sikoa challenged Rhodes to a championship match at The Biggest Party of the Summer, which the champion accepted. Ahead of the highly anticipated contest, the former AEW star took to Instagram Stories to share a sneak peek video of what seems to be his wrestling gear for the show.

WWE Hall of Famer shares interesting booking idea for Cody Rhodes ahead of his title defense
The American Nightmare defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. On the Road to WrestleMania, he was involved in an intriguing rivalry with The Rock, who tried his best to help The Head of The Table retain his title. The Hollywood star showed up on RAW the following night in an intense segment with the newly crowned champion.
The Brahma Bull has been absent from WWE television to focus on his acting projects. However, on a recent edition of the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bull Ray stated that The Final Boss needs to return and beat Cody for the title. He added that The Rock should then drop the championship back to Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
"I believe [The] Rock needs to come back as a full-blown heel. I think most would agree with that [...] if The Rock wants to come back as this babyface, then who in the living hell is Cody's heel? You need a top-notch heel for Cody Rhodes. It can't be Randy [Orton] right now. If you bring back [The] Rock and Roman [Reigns] and you make them babyfaces, and Randy is your top heel, it feels like an uphill battle [...] I would enjoy seeing The Rock defeat Cody Rhodes with the intention of The Rock dropping it back to Cody at 'Mania." The Rock joined the Board of Directors of TKO Group Holdings earlier this year. It remains to be seen when he will return to in-ring action.
