Cody Rhodes' title "might be in danger" if current WWE star challenges him, feels wrestling legend (Exclusive)

Hall of Fame wrestling journalist Bill Apter recently spoke about Cody Rhodes' upcoming title defense. The star kicked off a show this week, talking about his triumph at Bash in Berlin.

Rhodes turned his attention to The Bloodline, claiming to settle business with them once and for all. The faction walked out and Solo Sikoa challenged The American Nightmare to another title match. The champ claimed that Jacob Fatu was a more suitable contender for the title than Solo.

This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Apter said fans weren't too excited to see Cody take on Solo again. He felt the Samoan Werewolf challenging for the title would have been a more exciting prospect for the WWE Universe. The veteran journalist claimed Fatu presented a bigger challenge to Rhodes than Solo.

"I don't think the fans necessarily want to see Solo against Cody Rhodes as much as they want to see the maniacal, the crazy, the nutcase Fatu against Cody. I think with Jacob Fatu against Cody, there is more of a chance that Cody's title might be in danger." [From 5:22 onwards]

Next week on the season premiere of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage match.

It will be interesting to see if The American Nightmare can walk out of the structure with the title still around his waist.
