Cody Rhodes turns down match with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline; says he's "done"
On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was offered the opportunity to team up with Roman Reigns against The Bloodline, but he turned it down. During a backstage segment, he explained the reason to Nick Aldis.
The American Nightmare started feuding with the Anoa'i Family last year when he won the Royal Rumble match. He went on to challenge The Head of the Table for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 39, but he lost the bout after Solo Sikoa attacked him.
Fast forward to 2024, Cody Rhodes won the Rumble again and dethroned Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. After the event, Solo Sikoa took control of The Bloodline. He collided with The American Nightmare in a Steel Cage match for the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown this week, but he lost the bout.
After the match, the rest of The Bloodline attacked Cody. Roman Reigns made a surprise appearance and attacked the villainous faction. After the brawl, Adam Pearce announced that Solo Sikoa challenged Roman Reigns and Cody to face him and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match at Bad Blood.
Solo and Jacob already signed the contract, but Cody Rhodes refused to sign it. He said that he was done with The Bloodline and that they were Reigns’ problem. It'll be interesting to see Roman's response.
