Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship may change hands twice in the next 30 days, says ex-host

Cody Rhodes has held the Undisputed WWE Championship for over 200 days. However, a former WWE host recently suggested the title could change hands twice in the upcoming 30 days.

The American Nightmare is currently feuding with Kevin Owens on SmackDown. The Prizefighter will return to the blue brand this Friday after missing last week's show as he was not allowed to enter the arena following his attack on Randy Orton. On his The Wrestling Matt podcast, former RAW Talk host Matt Camp claimed the two superstars could go head-to-head in a title rematch at Saturday Night's Main Event next month. He also pointed out that they could even square off next weekend at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Camp proposed a scenario in which Rhodes would lose his title to Owens at Survivor Series: WarGames before recapturing it at Saturday Night's Main Event, which is set to take on December 14, 2024:

"I do think though there is value in Kevin beating Cody for both guys. Hell, I mean Kevin could beat Cody at Survivor Series and Cody could win it back at Saturday Night's Main Event. They haven't done that in forever," he said. [From 31:51 to 32:07]

Ex-WWE writer thinks Kevin Owens has a legitimate chance to dethrone Cody Rhodes

Kevin Owens failed to capture the title from Cody Rhodes at Bash in Berlin earlier this year. However, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. revealed that he could see Owens ending Rhodes' championship reign.

On his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, Prinze Jr. added that he could see the title going back and forth between the two superstars:

"If it's Kevin, they can make that go a long time. Kevin is a top dude. Kevin's a guy I could see winning the belt. We mentioned it going back and forth so many times you never wanna hear me say it again. So, I won't. But I could see it go back and forth," he said.

Owens last held a world championship reign over seven years ago. It would be interesting to see if he would be the one to beat Rhodes for the title.
