Cody Rhodes "would love to see" top UFC fighter "dip his toes in the WWE"

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes knows what it takes to reach the pinnacle of success. The American Nightmare recently named a top UFC fighter he believes can do a lot in the Stamford-based promotion.

Conor McGregor is one of the biggest names UFC has ever produced. The 36-year-old has made a name for himself as a ruthless fighter who can thrive under any condition.

Cody Rhodes has been steering the SmackDown brand ahead as its top men's champion. He has done well to show up nearly every week and compete in some high-profile matches to keep the action ticking.

While speaking to The Schmo, The American Nightmare made it clear that he wants to see Conor McGregor appear in WWE. He noted that the competition in the Stamford-based promotion is different, and McGregor should come over to enjoy the entertainment side of sports.

"I’ll say that one person I’d love to see just dip his toes in the WWE would be Conor McGregor. We were just talking about Proper Twelve whiskey, and I think Conor should give it a try. The competition environment at WWE is different from what people might expect—it’s so much about who’s the most disciplined, the most professional, getting to the finish line, making it to a WrestleMania. Someone like him, who’s competed at the highest level in so many incredible fights, maybe it’s time to explore the more entertainment side of sports. I think he’d be great at it," Cody Rhodes said. Many fans would love to see McGregor show up at WrestleMania. A match against a top star at the event would be something that could take the industry by storm.

Cody Rhodes could face Randy Orton at WWE WrestleMania 41

Current rumors suggest that Cody Rhodes could fight The Rock or Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41. However, the creative team could look to book a match between The Final Boss and The Original Tribal Chief instead.

That could leave The American Nightmare without a challenger, especially if he is still holding the Undisputed WWE Championship. That could bring Randy Orton into the picture since The Viper seems to be still working with the top champion.

The Legend Killer could come to realize that Cody is selfish and a cause of many of his problems, including his recent altercation with his former ally, Kevin Owens. That could force Randy to turn against Rhodes and go after him in 2025 heading into WrestleMania 41.
