Cody Rhodes' WWE Title reign in jeopardy as stipulation for SummerSlam match is suddenly added
Cody Rhodes's WWE Championship run has always been in jeopardy with every title defense. A new stipulation has been suddenly added to his upcoming title defense against Solo Sikoa, which could end his run.
Cody Rhodes appeared on SmackDown this week for one last confrontation with Solo Sikoa before their main event clash at SummerSlam for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Cody mentioned beating Roman Reigns in a Bloodline Rules match, and Solo called Roman "weak." However, he brought up that Cody kept mentioning the match, and after getting the rest of the new Bloodline to surround the ring, Cody was forced to accept that the main event of SummerSlam would be a Bloodline Rules match.
Cody went on to roast every member of The Bloodline barring Tama Tonga, who he mentioned he has a history with. This is, of course, referring to their time together in Japan.
Tama Tonga was fully immersed in the Japanese wrestling system until this year, when he finally signed with WWE. Jacob Fatu loomed by Cody's side to be presented as the next possible threat to the title.
The advantage is firmly in Solo Sikoa's hands despite him being the challenger.
