Colossal update about Mick Foley's future in WWE and wrestling - Reports
Mick Foley's future in WWE and wrestling has just received an enormous update. A report has emerged about his status with the Stamford-based promotion.
Mick Foley is a legend of the business and has done everything in his power to get to that status. His high-risk mindset saw him involved in some of the most memorable matches of the last three decades, including the infamous moment where he was thrown from the top of the Hell in a Cell structure when facing The Undertaker.
However, all these high-intensity matches naturally took a toll on his body, and earlier, he revealed that although he was planning on a last match, he had been advised against it, and he ended up canceling it ultimately.
It turns out though, that he may not be completely done with wrestling after all.
As per a report by Fightful Select, Mick Foley will still be connected to WWE. The report stated that he had signed a WWE Legends deal with the company at some point. Thus, even though he has been advised against wrestling a last retirement match, he is still connected with wrestling. Whether he chooses to return one last time despite the advice he received remains to be seen.
In recent years, Foley has not really been a part of regular WWE programming, but with his deal, he can still make special appearances for the company, as well as appear on merchandise, video games, action figures, and more.
Mick Foley's contribution to WWE
While Foley has "retired" several times from the company, every time that he's returned, he's delivered some of the biggest matches in the show's history.
Not only did he beat several legends, but when it came to it, he helped put over other stars who became bigger for having faced him. His rivalry with Edge, and also with Randy Orton, helped establish the stars as being dangerous. He also helped make Triple H bigger as well towards the end of the Attitude Era.
