Congratulations to former WWE stars Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker
Former WWE Superstars Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker are among the most popular real-life power couples on the AEW roster. The two reportedly got married on Saturday in Ohio, a month after Soho announced her pregnancy on Rampage.
According to PWInsider, Soho and Parker had their nuptials in Ohio, with several AEW stars in attendance. John Silver seemingly confirmed the reports by posting an image with the newlyweds on his official X/Twitter account.
"Congrats to the new beautiful couple," Silver wrote.
Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker have been dating since last year, with the former WWE Superstar announcing on Rampage last month that she was pregnant with their first child. The couple was in WWE at the same time when Soho was known as Ruby Riott on the main roster and the 40-year-old was Chase Parker of Ever-Rise.
Both superstars arrived in NXT in 2016, with Soho being signed in December and Parker eight months earlier. She was called up to the main roster a year later as part of The Riott Squad with Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan.
Angelo Parker was never called up from NXT and stayed in developmental with Matt Martel, now known as Matt Menard in AEW. The future couple was released from their contracts in 2021 and signed with AEW after their no-compete clause expired.
Ruby Soho didn't know why WWE released her in 2021
In an appearance on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette in late 2021, Ruby Soho discussed her WWE release. Soho was shocked that she was let go by the company and had no reason in her mind why they would part ways with her.
"I wish I knew. Like I said, it came as a huge shock to me. And there were a lot of ones that I didn’t see coming. I liked my job at the time, I liked it. I didn't have any problems. I loved the locker room so much. I love the women, especially the SmackDown women’s locker room. That was some of the best times of my life because those women are absolutely incredible people," Soho said. [H/T: eWrestlingNews]
Soho moved on and knew that AEW was the right choice for her after the release. She's been with the company for almost three years now since her debut at All Out in Chicago.
