Congratulations to WWE Superstar Gunther!
Gunther has been riding high as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion on RAW. The Ring General has now reached a new milestone in his ongoing reign of terror.
The Imperium leader has enjoyed tremendous success since signing with the Stamford-based promotion in 2019. His record-setting 666-day run as the Intercontinental Champion helped put him on a pedestal.
Despite losing his title to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL, Gunther has continued to dominate the red brand. He won the King of the Ring finals by defeating Randy Orton, thus earning himself an opportunity at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
At SummerSlam, the Austrian star knocked Damian Priest off his perch after Finn Balor turned on The Archer of Infamy.
The 37-year-old WWE Superstar hasn't looked back since winning the prestigious title. Although he has defended his World Heavyweight Title only twice on TV, he remains quite active at house shows.
Gunther's first televised title defense came against Randy Orton at the Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event. He would then put his title on the line against his arch-rival, Sami Zayn, on the October 7 edition of RAW, but this time the Imperium leader went over.
On November 11, Gunther completed 100 days as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
We at Sportskeeda Wrestling would like to congratulate The Ring General on accomplishing such a feat.
What's next for Gunther in WWE?
The reigning King of the Ring was in action in the main event of the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, which saw him lose to Cody Rhodes for the inaugural Crown Jewel's Championship.
The Ring General shook The American Nightmare's hands after the match, showing a sign of respect.
He will now focus back on solidifying his reign on Monday Night RAW. Last week, WWE determined a new challenger for his World Heavyweight Championship.
Damian Priest defeated Dominik Mysterio, Sheamus, and Seth "Freakin" Rollins in a Fatal Four-Way Match. The Archer of Infamy and The Ring General closed out the show, staring each other down.
There's no word on when the SummerSlam 2024 rematch will take place, but the two superstars will come face-to-face in tonight's episode of RAW.
