Congratulations to WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair
WWE legend Ric Flair was recently honored at an event outside wrestling. The Nature Boy has been inducted into the company's Hall of Fame twice—once as a singles star and another time as a member of the Four Horsemen.
Ahead of tonight's edition of WWE RAW, Flair took to social media to send a heartfelt message. The veteran shared that he was honored at WBA Boxing last night and added that he got to meet some of the greats in the sport. You can check out Flair's message in his post below.
"I’d like to thank @WBABoxing for honoring me last night at their 103rd Convention @cariberoyale. It was an absolute pleasure meeting all of the great past and present world boxing champions. Especially the goat 🐐 @Claressashields," he wrote.
The 75-year-old has not competed since the Ric Flair's Last Match event in 2022. He teamed up with his son-in-law, Andrade El Idolo, to defeat Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in a tag team match. Flair spent some time in All Elite Wrestling to support his old friend and rival, Sting, but his time in the promotion came to an end earlier this year.
WWE veteran Bret Hart reveals what he said to Ric Flair following his last match
Bret "The Hitman" Hart recently shared what he said to Ric Flair during his last match in 2022.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, Hart disclosed that he congratulated Flair during his retirement match and noted that he appreciated what he was trying to do. The former champion added that there were not too many people who would have had the courage to wrestle at Flair's age.
“I just congratulated him and let him know that I appreciated what he did and what he was trying to do,” Hart replied when asked what he said to Flair. “There’s not too many guys who would have the guts to go in there and do what Ric Flair did, and I admire that about him.” [1:31-1:47]
