Congratulations to WWE star Michael Cole

Michael Cole has become one of the most recognizable voices in WWE over the past two decades and it seems that he has now achieved an unprecedented feat. Currently, Cole is the lead commentator of RAW alongside Pat McAfee.

This month marks 27 years of Michael Cole in WWE, having made his debut for the company back in June 1997. Cole came in as a backstage interviewer, before being handed the task of replacing the legendary Jim Ross behind the announce table.

Ross and Jerry Lawler were a cult partnership for many years and it took Cole several years to be able to win over wrestling fans in this new role. The Voice of WWE has since become the main commentator for SmackDown, RAW, and premium live events and this year he called his 23rd WrestleMania.

Cole has moved up through the ranks in WWE and now helps aspiring stars backstage as well as his regular commitments behind the announce table.

Michael Cole has received major praise for his work on WWE RAW

Michael Cole was on his own for the most part on the recent episode of RAW. Pat McAfee missed this week's show due to personal reasons and The Miz joined Cole for the first hour of the episode before leaving the commentary desk to defend his World Tag Team Championships in the main event of the show.

The Miz stepped in for Pat McAfee, who lost his father-in-law ahead of Monday's show and was forced to drop out at the last minute. On top of calling the action on his own for almost two hours, Cole was also able to handle the whole Wyatt Sicks situation.

It's clear that Pat McAfee was set to be the person to receive the box from Wyatt Sicks since his name was on the parcel, but Cole was able to step in during his absence and managed to take control of the segment while also continuing to call the show.
