Congratulations to WWE star Mike Rome

WWE Superstar Mike Rome recently took to social media to share a heartwarming update about his personal life. The 42-year-old joined the Stamford-based promotion in 2016.

Rome started working as a ring announcer for the company's developmental brand, NXT, but was shifted to Monday Night RAW in 2019. He also worked as a ring announcer on SmackDown before being moved to the white-and-gold brand this year.

Congratulations are in order, as Mike Rome recently took to Instagram to announce that he was blessed with his first child, Salem James Romero. In his post's caption, the WWE star also shared some details about his child's birth.

"Salem James Romero. 9/5/24. Seven pounds seven ounces. 20 and a half inches of awesome ❤️," Rome wrote.

Mike Rome is a former WWE 24/7 Champion

Although Mike Rome has primarily been a ring announcer since joining WWE in 2016, he surprisingly won the 24/7 Championship during his time on the main roster.

After Samir Singh won the gold against R-Truth, he wanted Rome to announce him as the 24/7 Champion at a live event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on December 27, 2019. However, the current NXT ring announcer instead rolled Samir up to win the title.

Mike Rome was about to announce himself as the 24/7 Champion, but former star Sunil Singh came out of nowhere to pin him for the gold.

Mike Rome is currently doing an incredible job as NXT's ring announcer. However, if the company needs him to be on RAW or SmackDown, he has already proven his worth on the main roster for many years. It will be interesting to see what the Triple H-led promotion has planned for the former 24/7 Champion's future.

We at Sportskeeda congratulate Mike Rome on the birth of his first child.
