Congratulations to WWE Superstar Blair Davenport

WWE SmackDown star Blair Davenport shared some exciting news on social media ahead of tonight's show. Davenport was recently involved in a rivalry with Naomi on the blue brand but lost to the former champion on the July 12 edition of SmackDown.

Blair Davenport was selected by SmackDown in this year's WWE Draft. She tried to compete in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match but lost her qualifying Triple Threat match to Naomi on June 28.

Davenport took to her Instagram account today to announce that she was married. She shared several pictures with her husband, NXT star Riley Osborne, as seen in her post below.

Davenport also had a short stint in All Elite Wrestling before signing with WWE in 2021. She spent three years in NXT and won the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge in 2023. Davenport has still not won a match during her time on SmackDown.

Konnan compares Blair Davenport to WWE RAW star

Wrestling legend Konnan recently compared Blair Davenport to a member of Damage CTRL and claimed she lacked charisma.

Damage CTRL debuted at SummerSlam 2022 but has fallen on some hard times as of late. Bayley exited the faction and defeated IYO SKY at WrestleMania XL to capture the WWE Women's Championship. Dakota Kai recently complained about not getting an opportunity as a singles star at a Premium Live Event as well.

Speaking on his Keepin' It 100 show, Konnan compared Blair Davenport to Dakota Kai. He stated that Kai still wasn't over with the crowd but the company is still pushing her as a star.

"Blair Davenport, who I saw her in NXT, she reminds me a lot of, what's the white girl in Damage CTRL? Dakota Kai. Okay, to me when they came up, I was like, 'These girls do not have it yet,' and they kept pushing Dakota Kai, pushing Dakota Kai." [5:37 – 5:56]

Davenport has never captured a championship during her tenure in the company. It will be fascinating to see if the promotion has anything substantial planned for the 28-year-old moving forward on SmackDown.
