Congratulations to WWE Superstar Pat McAfee
Pat McAfee has become a major WWE name over the past few years, both inside the ring and behind the announce desk on RAW.
The former NFL player has also been part of his own daily show and College Game Day, where he has made regular appearances since 2019 before his deal expired.
Pat recently noted that his contract was up with the show and took to Instagram earlier today to announce that he had signed a new deal to appear on College Game Day again moving forward.
McAfee left WWE back in 2022 to pursue a deal with College Game Day, and as part of the video package below, he revealed the contract negotiation process surrounding his re-signing.
"When my contract came up, after living a dream alongside that crew that is just as talented off camera as they are on camera, I thought long and hard. ‘Am I the right person to be doing this incredible gig? There are millions and millions of people that would love to be sitting in my seat. Am I the right guy for it? Is this what I want to do?’ The only thing that I kept coming back to is, ‘Hell f*cking yeah.’ I’m lucky, I’m honored, I’m humbled. I’m grateful, and I’m back."
How will this move affect his WWE position?
Pat McAfee was forced to leave WWE back in 2022 when he signed on for College Gameday, and it was made clear that he couldn't fulfill both duties. At present, he is working alongside Michael Cole on RAW.
McAfee has been part of the storyline with The Wyatt Sicks since their debut and has been receiving messages from the group on his own show as well as on RAW, so it's unclear what this means for his WWE run.
McAfee is an asset on RAW and Triple H would be pushing to ensure that he's able to fulfill both duties this time around. As of writing, there has been no word on if McAfee will be taking a hiatus again.
