Controversial 59-year-old legend allegedly has "a lot of power" in Triple H's WWE

Veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer recently spoke about Triple H's booking tactics on the main roster. The 14-time world champion currently heads the creative team in the Stamford-based promotion.

WWE is doing record business all around. They recently signed a $5 billion deal with Netflix to air RAW on their streaming network. The company's ticket and merchandise sales are also at an all-time high. They have created new stars like Bronson Reed, Dominik Mysterio, Jey Uso, LA Knight, and many more who are getting top reactions from the fans.

In a recent clip from Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, Dave pointed out that Triple H had help from a great team. Meltzer felt that industry veterans like Paul Heyman had a lot of power backstage and were helping produce a better product. Heyman has been known for pushing the limits with his booking in ECW and also had a falling out with Vince McMahon back in the day allegedly over creative differences.

"Well, he's got way better talent to work with than he had with NXT. With NXT, he was trying to teach people. Now, these are guys supposed to already be taught, and they are for the most part, almost all of them. He has a lot of input from a lot of people obviously. I think everyone knows about Heyman being one of them who's got a lot of power now, for good reason. But to me, a smart booker is not one that does it all on his own. It's someone who has an idea of where he wants to go with everything but listens to everybody and if they have good ideas, that's where you go." [From 0:54 - 1:34]

Triple H recently congratulated the Motor City Machine Guns

The Motor City Machine Guns are another success story under the Triple H regime. The duo debuted in WWE on the October 18 edition of SmackDown. The team of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have been a veteran tag team working throughout the independent circuit and in TNA Wrestling.

The stars defeated Los Garza and A-Town Down Under in their first appearance. This past Friday, they took down #DIY and the formidable Bloodline in back-to-back matches to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

As is customary now, they got a hearty congratulatory message from Triple H on social media.

It will be interesting to see what are some of the other success stories that come up during the Paul Levesque Era.
