Controversial star claims Triple H rehired him the very next day after he was suddenly fired from WWE

A former WWE star has shared a story about the time when he was suddenly let go from the company only for Triple H to quickly rehire him the very next day. The person in question is Enzo Amore, who recalled how he was fired by Dusty Rhodes for a hilarious reason but was brought back thanks to The Game.

Amore had a six-year stint with WWE from 2012-2018. After some initial struggles, Enzo Amore found his groove when he began tagging with current AEW star Big Bill. The two became one of the most popular tag teams in NXT. However, they couldn't sustain their momentum when they moved to the main roster.

Amore was shown the door from WWE in 2018 when he was the Cruiserweight Champion due to assault allegations and was stripped of the gold.

In a recent appearance on Wrestling Shoot Interviews, the 37-year-old looked back at his time in the company and opened up about the time when he was fired by Dusty Rhodes in NXT. However, Enzo Amore added that he quickly got in touch with Triple H who got him his job in the company back overnight.

“I farted in a Dusty Rhodes promo class, and Dusty Rhodes kicked me out of it. He got me fired that night. I called Triple H in the morning, and he got me rehired. Then I got fined for farting, taken off shows, and me and Big Cass went on a losing streak for a while in NXT. How bad was the fart? It was the loudest fart I’ve ever ripped in my entire life. That’s because I thought it was going to be my promo. I just, like, ricocheted it off the metal chair I was sitting in, and it just blasted off of it. It came out like a duck quack," said Enzo Amore. Enzo Amore wants WWE to recognize his contributions

Elsewhere in the same interview, Enzo Amore detailed how his goal in 2025 was to earn his place in WWE's history books. He explained that he wanted to find a place in the alumni section of the promotion's website, at the very least.

"My goal, by the time it's 2025, I hope that you get to sing it along with me and spell it out with me. By the time we look at 2025, I hope that somewhere in the annals of WWE history that I will be recognized once again and join the alumni section, bare minimum. That is my goal."

Enzo Amore is still active in the wrestling business as an in-ring performer, where he goes by the name Real1. Only time will tell if he will ever find his way back to the Stamford-based promotion.
