Controversial WWE star lashes out at fan over "gross and misogynistic" photos post

WWE Universe has around-the-clock access to their favorite superstars thanks to social media. The platforms are used for good and bad, just like they are outside of the world of professional wrestling. Recently, a controversial star called out a trend that is popular with many fans.

Chelsea Green is widely regarded as one of WWE's most confrontational superstars. The ten-year industry veteran often finds herself wrapped up in social media controversies as she keeps her heel gimmick going. Green also breaks character at times to publicly do good and is now one of the superstars to directly call out fan content on X/Twitter. One trend that is a favorite among some fans is the side-by-side photo comparison of two wrestlers, with a poll on who is better.

The Hot Mess took to X/Twitter today to respond to a fan who posted her photo next to Maxxine Dupri and asked other fans to pick their favorite. Green declared these sorts of posts to be problematic and nicely asked people to drop the trend.

"Don't. Just don't. It's gross and misogynistic. Stop doing these please," Chelsea Green wrote in response to the fan.

Dupri is not very active on X/Twitter and has not publicly responded to Green or the fan as of this writing. The former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion has continued to call fans out when she feels it's appropriate, as we've seen with Alexa Bliss and others.

Chelsea Green pulls WWE double duty

Chelsea Green has worked with the WWE SmackDown and NXT brands this month. Her return to WWE's Tuesday night show at the Performance Center was her second of this year. She is rumored for a Dumpster Match against Michin on Friday Night show.

The former TNA Knockouts World Champion returned to the developmental brand on September 3 to interrupt Women's Champion Roxanne Perez. After demanding a title shot, Giulia arrived to a big pop and blocked an attack by Chelsea. The Japanese star dropped Green and challenged Perez to a title match on the October 1 edition of NXT.

The former Stardom star made her in-ring debut last week by defeating Green in singles action.

Piper Niven wasn't with Green on NXT, but their alliance remains on Friday nights. Green defeated Michin on the September 6 edition of SmackDown, thanks to Niven.

Last week's SmackDown saw Niven defeat Michin, thanks to Green. The former Women's Tag Team Champions attacked the former TNA star after the match and smashed her into a trash can. Green then consoled an upset Niven in a potential storyline development hint.
