Controversial WWE star turned TNA wrestler reacts to partnership between companies

A former WWE Superstar, who was released under controversial circumstances and is currently signed with TNA Wrestling recently reacted to the partnership between the promotions. NXT and TNA have developed a collaboration in recent times, generating a lot of online buzz.

Zachary Wentz, formerly known as Nash Carter in NXT, was in WWE from 2020 to 2022. He was in a tag team with Wes Lee and they were even two-time NXT Tag Team Champions. Wentz was released while still holding a championship after his ex-wife and former wrestler Kimber Lee released some controversial photos. He spent some time on the independent circuit before signing with TNA last year.

In a post on his official X account, the 30-year-old star shared a post showing the top five most viewed videos on WWE's X account post-WrestleMania. Two of the top five involved TNA wrestlers, Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace.

"NXTNA," Wentz wrote.

Joe Hendry's arrival at the latest episode of NXT went viral as his entrance theme played inside the Performance Center in Orlando. It's currently giving The Wyatt Sicks' debut from RAW last Monday a run for its money.

The other one was Ava naming Jordynne Grace as the number-one contender for Roxanne Perez's NXT Women's Championship.

CM Punk gives his thoughts on the WWE NXT-TNA Wrestling partnership

A lot of fans and wrestlers have praised the collaboration between NXT and TNA, allowing the forbidden door to be opened. CM Punk is one of the veterans of the industry who has friends across multiple promotions, including TNA. One of Punk's closest friends Ace Steel works with TNA as a producer.

Here's what Steel told ComicBook.com about Punk's thoughts on the NXT-TNA partnership:

"[Punk] goes, 'This stuff is great. This show is great. What's missing?' I go, 'We need more eyes on this thing.' When you look at The Rascals, ABC, Santana, Steve Maclin, The System, Moose, Xia Brookside, Jordynne Grace, who we've all gotten to see more of lately. What a phenomenal opportunity things like that just shows you that and especially at the height of the way this industry is right now, anything can happen."

Before signing with WWE last November, Punk was seemingly backstage for Bound for Glory when TNA Wrestling was still known as IMPACT Wrestling.
