Corey Graves says he has "unofficially taken on some responsibilities" in WWE (Exclusive)

WWE commentator Corey Graves apparently has some more responsibilities than his on-screen work in the company.

The 39-year old has a tumultous career in the pro-wrestling business, having had to retire earlier than he would have liked due to injury. Since then, he has transitioned into the role of a color commentator, and appears regularly on SmackDown to analyze the matches.

Speaking to Sportskeeda's Bill Apter, Corey Graves detailed some of the additional responsibilities he has taken on alongside his current role. He stated:

“I have kind of unofficially taken on some responsibilities in the television studio, and as far as producing little bits and pieces. I don’t have an official role doing any of that, but I kind of get to lend my expertise. or opinion at least on a lot of different things. ” [From 01:00 to 01:16]

The WWE veteran may step in the ring in the future

While Corey Graves hasn't wrestled in the squared circle since 2014, he is apparently cleared to wrestle again now.

Speaking with Steelers Takeaways, Graves revealed that he has been medically cleared for a while and was just waiting for an opportune moment to wrestle again.

"I have a clean bill of health now, thanks. I actually got medically cleared a couple of years ago to perform in the ring again. I flirted with the idea and am waiting for a potential opportunity if it presents itself. More of a one-time thing like [Pat] McAfee has done – not as a full-time in-ring performer."

As of now, it remains to be seen whether the former WWE Superstar will perform inside the ring again someday soon.
