Current Champion received advice from WWE Legends including Edge and The Undertaker

The landscape of WWE changed after the annual Draft when several top stars and champions were drafted to either Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown. Speaking of champions, current NXT Champion Carmleo Hayes spoke about the advice he received from legends such as Edge and The Undertaker.

The Modern Era of WWE saw several new stars make their debut and climb to the top of the mountain starting from the developmental brand. Former World Champions have often imparted their wisdom to the new generation and guided superstars to greatness inside the squared circle.

Earlier this year, Carmelo Hayes ended Bron Breakker's reign as the NXT Champion by winning the title at Stand & Deliver. Speaking to Metro UK, the current champion revealed that several WWE legends, including Edge and The Undertaker, have given him some important advice. Check it out:

"I’ve been so fortunate to get so much time from these people that I used to look up to. The Undertaker sat down with me for 30 minutes, and talked to me...So, there’s certain people, like Edge and MVP, everybody, I’ve been able to sit and have conversations with them and pick their brains. Melo needs every piece of advice he can get as he is set to face one of his biggest challengers on the developmental brand.

Carmelo Hayes is set to be in a massive match at WWE Battleground 2023

Earlier this year, Carmelo Hayes went after the NXT Championship when he challenged Bron Breakker, who had not been pinned or submitted on the brand for over 10 months.

The two rising stars met at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2023, and Melo ended Breakker's reign as the NXT Champion. However, the champion didn't get enough time to celebrate.

On the episode of NXT after the event, Bron Breakker turned heel and attacked Carmelo Hayes and Trick Willams. The two are currently feuding on the developmental brand for the title.

By the end of the month, The Big Booty Nephew will get his rematch for the title he lost to Melo at Stand & Deliver. It will be interesting to see if a new attitude will help Breakker to become a three-time NXT Champion on the brand.
