Current champion set to miss WWE NXT; reveals reason why
The upcoming edition of WWE NXT will air live from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. A major champion is set to be absent from the show.
Roxanne Perez is among the top stars on the NXT roster. The Prodigy defeated Lyra Valkyria at Stand & Deliver earlier this year to win the NXT Women's Championship for the second time. The 23-year-old has held the title since.
Ahead of the upcoming episode of NXT, Roxanne Perez shared a video shot at a beach on social media, stating she was on a vacation. She went on to boast about her current title reign, which has surpassed 225 days. Perez was interrupted by Sol Ruca, who has already qualified for the Iron Survivor Challenge set for NXT Deadline.
"Champ’s on vacation but of course, there’s fans everywhere. Anyway, happy #TuesdayNightRox to me and only me." she wrote.

Roxanne Perez names new WWE Four Horsewomen
Former women's champions Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) are considered the original Four Horsewomen of WWE. They are credited by many fans for the women's revolution, which changed the women's wrestling landscape within the wrestling promotion.
During her appearance on the Kliq This podcast, Roxanne Perez stated she agreed with a fan post referring to herself, Cora Jade, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer as this generation's version of The Four Horsewomen. Perez mentioned the similarities she shares with the other three. She further referred to NXT as the greatest women's division in the world.
"So, I actually saw a post about this the other day, and I agree with it very much. It would be me, Cora Jade, Stephanie Vaquer, and Giulia. I feel like we're a little alike in different ways, in the same way being that we have always wanted to be a part of the WWE since we were young; we put in those years; those 1,000 hours to become great, and now we’re able to be a part of the greatest women's division in the world, and I think that that has a lot to do with us four women," she said.
