Current World Champion sends five-word message to The Miz after major WWE SummerSlam announcement

The 2024 WWE SummerSlam is right around the corner, and The Miz recently made a massive announcement ahead of The Biggest Party of The Summer in Cleveland, Ohio. Ahead of the PLE, former WWE Superstar and current TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth (FKA Dolph Ziggler) sent a message to The A-Lister on social media.

The Miz and the erstwhile Dolph Ziggler have shared the ring numerous times in the last two decades. The latter was released from the Stamford-based promotion in September 2023. The Showoff dethroned Moose to capture the TNA World Championship at the recent Slammiversary pay-per-view.

Meanwhile, on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, one-half of The Awesome Truth announced that the Cleveland native will host SummerSlam 2024. Taking to Twitter (X), Nic Nemeth congratulated The Miz on the exciting news.

"Congrats to my buddy, Mike! #SummerSlam 💪🏽💪🏽," he wrote.

The Miz says he prefers being a heel in WWE

The 43-year-old veteran has played a heel for a large part of his career in the Stamford-based promotion. Being on the villainous side, The Miz has won several championships in WWE.

However, the star has now automatically turned a babyface ever since he paired up with R-Truth. During an interview with WrestleRant Radio, the RAW Superstar mentioned that he loved being hated by fans. According to the former Intercontinental Champion, people hating him on TV gave him satisfaction to perform well inside the squared circle.

"No, I'm not used to it at all. People are like, 'What would you rather be? It's like, I love being hated. A lot of people, some bad guys, don't like to be hated. They'll go on X or Instagram and look at the comments to see if they're like, 'Oh, I don't like him, but man, is he cool!' Or, 'I don't like him, but man, he's got cool moves!' I don't like that. I want people to despise me and can't stand me. That's me doing my job to the best of my ability," he said.

It will be interesting to see if The Miz betrays beloved veteran R-Truth in the coming days to herald another stint as a heel.
