Current WWE champion fires shots at Randy Orton and Kevin Owens for losing at WrestleMania XL
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens formed an unlikely alliance on WWE SmackDown heading into WWE WrestleMania XL but failed to defeat Logan Paul for the United States Championship. Meanwhile, current SmackDown Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller fired shots at the two stars and seemingly issued a challenge.
Grayson Waller and Austin Theory spent months on the main roster, losing matches and getting attacked by stars. However, the duo turned the tide at WWE WrestleMania XL as they became the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions during the six-pack ladder match.
A-Town Down Under has been spending time away from weekly products as they claim to be on a part-time champion schedule. Speaking on Going Ringside, Waller opened up about his and Theory's win during the two-night event in Philadelphia and spoke highly of the tag team division on the blue brand.
"Lad, it ain't any different than what's been happening the last year on SmackDown, you know? Everyone wants the Grayson Waller rub. Everyone wants to get in there and try and fight me. Now, I just have something for them to try and get off me (...) you got the Street Profits, you got the New Catch Republic, you got these two flops, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton, who all of a sudden seem to be friends. I don't care who it is on SmackDown, we're open, we're fighting champions." [From 05:40 to 06:10]
During the interview, he seemingly fired shots at the duo and said they couldn't dethrone Paul at 'Mania.
"It must be embarrassing for him; you know they (Kevin Owens & Randy Orton) for months have been tormenting myself, Austin (Theory), and my close personal friend, Logan Paul. But then, the big stage, the bright lights, Logan Paul, and still the United States Champion and A-Town Down Under, new Tag Team Champions [From 06:19 to 06:52]
