Current WWE champion makes outrageous request after being pinned on recent show
WWE has been putting on some great shows of late. A current champion recently made an outrageous request from the company after being pinned on a show this week. This was NXT Champion Ethan Page.
The latest edition of WWE NXT had some top matches and segments. The show also furthered the rivalry between Oro Mensah and 'All Ego' Ethan Page.
Page brought a referee to the ring to prove that Oro did not officially pin him for the three count last week. While Ethan was gloating in the ring over his version of last week's events, Mensah appeared out of nowhere and once again pinned the champion as the referee this time counted the unofficial pin.
The events in the ring drove the rivalry between Page and Mensah forward, and, at the same time, further pushed Mensah into the NXT Championship scene while ensuring Trick Williams could take a breather from the main event scene.
Later, WWE posted the segment's video on its Instagram page and added Ethan Page to the collaboration. The champion 'accidentally' accepted the collab request, and later regretted it, commenting on the post and asking the digital team to delete the video or remove him from it immediately.
"I accidentally accepted this collab request… Can you delete this video or at the very least, remove my collab … ASAP," the NXT Champion wrote.

A match between Page and Mensah has been set for NXT Great American Bash 2024. The two men will likely put on a good show, and NXT will look to give Ethan Page a big win to help him come across as a legitimate threat as a champion.
WWE NXT will host the Great American Bash over two weeks
WWE NXT Great American Bash has been a feature of the brand for a few years now. This year, the event will again be featured over two nights, for the first time since 2020.
The event will take place on July 30 and August 6, 2024, at the NXT Arena at WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It will host some big matches, and the company has already booked a few matches in recent weeks.
One of the matches announced for the event's second night will see Oro Mensah challenge Ethan Page for the NXT Title. The first night will see Roxanne Perez defend her title against Thea Hail.
The Women’s Tag Team Championship will also be on the line as The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) will defend the title against Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend). Kelani Jordan will likely also defend her title at the event.
