Current WWE champion (not Damian Priest) calls Jey Uso a failure
Jey Uso broke free from The Bloodline in the summer of 2023 but the WWE star had to face the consequences of his deeds all those years prior. Nevertheless, the one thing that remained a constant was the backing he got from fans.
Fresh off a victory at WrestleMania against his twin brother Jimmy Uso, "Main Event" Jey Uso will now contend for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash: France against Damian Priest. Despite all this, SmackDown Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller called Jey a failure.
After sitting out SmackDown this past Friday night, the new tag team champions A-Town Down Under appeared as guests on WWE's The Bump.
Gloating about their win on the grand stage, Austin Theory stated that Grammy Award winner Lil Wayne did not come to the show to see Jey Uso, but them. Mimicking the latter, Grayson Waller added to his tag team partner's claim:
"What a flop," Waller began, before asking Theory a rhetorical question, "Did Jey Uso win a championship? No. Lil Wayne likes champions." [From 31:18 to 31:39]
The Aussie concluded by giving an underhanded compliment to Jey, calling the latter the second best for winning the number-one contendership to face World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.
Jey Uso's message to Jimmy Uso after The Bloodline's attack on WWE SmackDown
It appears Jimmy Uso is finally done with The Bloodline, whether he likes it or not. Solo Sikoa took it upon himself to punish Jimmy for losing on the grand stage to Jey Uso. This past Friday night, Tama Tonga made his WWE debut and joined the Samoans, seemingly replacing Uso in the process.
When Cathy Kelley asked Mr. Main Event his thoughts about his twin brother's expulsion from The Bloodline, Jey had this to say:
"Messing with The Bloodline over there, you’re going down the deep, dangerous road. I mean, they're adding members over there we don’t even know about. As far as Jimmy goes, I told him to come with me."
Jey subsequently went on to defeat former Universal Champion Finn Balor on RAW. He has a world title match on the horizon.
Despite initially being on the same page, The Usos parted ways when Jimmy decided to stay with The Bloodline. Now that the latter is no longer required there, it remains to be seen what is next for him.
The twins' father, WWE legend Rikishi, sent a cryptic message on social media recently, about the relationship between Roman Reigns and The Usos, detailed by The Tribal Chief himself.
