Current WWE champion sends a two-word message to Indi Hartwell after her shocking release

WWE recently released multiple superstars, including Indi Hartwell. On social media, the 28-year-old star received a message from the reigning NXT Women's Champion, Roxanne Perez.

Hartwell signed with WWE in 2019 and debuted in November at an NXT live event. During her time in the developmental brand, Indi won the NXT Women's Championship and the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship with Candice LeRae before moving up to the main roster.

On X/Twitter, Hartwell reacted with a shocking two-word message to her WWE release. Replying to her, Perez also reacted with a two-word message.

During her time in NXT, Hartwell was part of The Way. The faction consisted of Johnny Gargano, Dexter Lumis, Indi, Candice LeRae, and Austin Theory.

At NXT Stand & Deliver 2023, Hartwell won the NXT Women's Championship in a Six-Woman Ladder Match. After a successful title defense against Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton, Indi was drafted to Monday Night RAW. She eventually vacated the NXT Women's Championship, ending her title reign at 31 days. This marked the shortest reign in the title's history.

Indi Hartwell reflected on her departure from WWE with a short message, as she expressed her gratitude for being part of the company for several years.

On X/Twitter, Hartwell wrote the following:

"Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened."

Earlier this year, Hartwell and Candice LeRae failed to defeat The Kabuki Warriors, which consists of Asuka and Kairi Sane, for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at Elimination Chamber: Perth. They were later drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2024 WWE Draft.

At the King and Queen of the Ring 2024 Premium Live Event, Hartwell and LeRae once again failed to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. They failed to dethrone the reigning champions, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
