Current WWE champion shares a key lesson learned from John Cena
WWE legend John Cena has been a cornerstone of professional wrestling for over two decades. Naturally, being a veteran, The Franchise Player has significantly influenced the next generation of wrestlers, including the current NXT Women's North American Champion, Kelani Jordan.
The 25-year-old female star made history at this year's Battleground Premium Live Event in Las Vegas. She defeated Jaida Parker, Lash Legend, Sol Ruca, Michin, and Fallon Henley to become the inaugural holder of the Women's North American Title. Since then, Jordan has successfully defended her championship in singles matches against the likes of Ruca, Michin, and Tatum Paxley.
Meanwhile, at the Money in the Bank PLE, John Cena announced his retirement tour, which will kick off at the beginning of next year and conclude in December 2025.
In an interview with The Wrestling Classic, Kelani Jordan revealed a key lesson she learned from the 16-time World Champion. She recalled Cena once stating, perhaps in an interview, that whether fans are booing or cheering, they are ultimately cheering for the performer.
"It's something that actually John Cena I heard say before, I don't know if it was an interview. He was like, 'Whether the people are cheering for you or whether they're booing for you, they're still cheering for you.' So it's better than sitting silent," said Jordan. [From 41:09 to 41:20]

I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January and I'll end it in December. Many fans hope to see Cena become a 17-time World Champion during his Farewell Tour. It remains to be seen if he steps between the ropes for a World Championship match one last time.
