Current WWE star isn't "a big guy," but can work with anybody, says The Undertaker
The Undertaker had massive praise for a top WWE Superstar on the latest edition of his podcast, Six Feet Under.
At WrestleMania 36 in 2020, The Deadman defeated AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match. It turned out to be the very last bout of 'Taker's legendary career.
On his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker shared his thoughts on The Phenomenal One and showered praise on him. He also compared Styles to WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. Check out an excerpt from his comments:
"[AJ Styles] checks all the boxes," said The Undertaker. "I don't know if there will ever be another Shawn Michaels. I put a disclaimer on it, but AJ Styles can work with anybody. He can make anybody look like a million bucks and still be able to you know -- AJ is not a big guy, but has the ability to work with anybody and make it believable, make it solid." [H/T: Fightful]
The Undertaker's feud with AJ Styles in 2020
The Phenom kicked off his rivalry with Styles on the Road to WrestleMania 36 in 2020. Their feud led to a cinematic match on Night One of 'Mania. The bout saw Styles being "buried alive" by The Deadman in a memorable closing sequence after which the veteran rode off into the sunset. Later that year, he officially retired from WWE at Survivor Series.
Styles is still going strong on WWE TV and is all set to challenge for the top prize. At Backlash France, he will attempt to defeat Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes won the coveted title by defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL Night Two.
It has been quite some time since The Phenomenal One held a major belt and would love to put The American Nightmare down at Backlash.
