Dakota Kai breaks silence with short message following RAW return

Dakota Kai returned to WWE television on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. The Damage CTRL member had been forced out of action after tearing her meniscus earlier this year.

The 36-year-old was written off television on the August 5 episode of the red brand by having Pure Fusion Collective attack her backstage. On her return, Kai teamed up with stablemates IYO SKY and Kairi Sane to face the heel faction in a six-woman tag team match.

Despite being absent from the promotion, Dakota Kai showed no signs of ring rust and put forth an impressive performance. The contest ended with IYO SKY hitting Shayna Baszler with a moonsault to grab a pinfall victory for Damage CTRL. After the show, the returning Kai took to her Instagram account to share multiple pictures of herself with a short message.

"Put me in, coach 🩷 Return of the King Shout out to @churchandap 🫶🏽," she wrote.

Dakota Kai reveals Damage CTRL's next WWE goal following her return

The Damage CTRL members have faced several setbacks ever since they kicked out Bayley. The Role Model defeated IYO SKY to win the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania XL. Kairi Sane and Asuka lost the Women's Tag Team Championship to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, which was followed by The Empress of Tomorrow getting injured. Unfortunately, a few months later, Dakota Kai also suffered a similar fate.

After making an impressive return last night, Dakota Kai was interviewed by Byron Saxton on RAW Talk. The Damage CTRL member stated it was very challenging to watch her faction mates in action from home. She claimed that the group has its eyes set on the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

"Gosh, it was so difficult watching from home, you guys held it down for sure. But we are here to show everyone Damage CTRL. We won our match tonight. Now, we have our eyes on gold, potentially those tag team titles," she said. [From 00:16 to 00:32]

In a surprising turn of events, IYO SKY came out to help Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair after the main event to potentially set up a Women's WarGames Match. After retaining their title against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, the champions were attacked by Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and The Judgment Day duo.
