Dakota Kai puts the WWE locker room on notice following major RAW win
WWE Superstar Dakota Kai secured a resounding win on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. The Damage CTRL member put the entire locker room on notice following her impressive performance on the night.
The tournament to crown the inaugural WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion kickstarted on the December 3 episode of the red brand. In the first-round contest, Dakota Kai defeated Shayna Baszler and Katana Chance in a Triple-Threat match to move a step closer to the recently unveiled title.
After the show, King Kota spoke to Cathy Kelley in a RAW Exclusive interview. Speaking to the backstage interviewer, Dakota pointed out that she has yet to win a singles title in WWE. She added that she would win the Women's Intercontinental Championship to prove to everyone, including herself, that she deserves to win the gold.
"Cathy, oh my God, I'm so pumped! I mean, you know more than anyone how my journey has been filled with ups and downs, ins and outs. But if there's one thing that's evaded me during my whole time in this company, it's been singles championship gold. And that [Women's] IC Championship would look so good around my waist. It's in my crosshairs right now. It's my time, it's my time! I can't wait to prove to everyone, as well as myself, that I deserve this more than anything. I'm so pumped," she said. Former WWE writer mocks Dakota Kai's return
After being absent for three months, Dakota Kai returned to WWE television on the November 11 edition of Monday Night RAW. Wrestling veteran Vince Russo made a sarcastic remark about the Damage CTRL member's appearance on the red brand's show.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo joked about waiting months for Dakota to show up. The 63-year-old humorously overstated how excited he was to see Kai return, saying he was dancing in his living room.
"The huge return of Dakota Kai! We've been waiting for months and months and months. There was backstage. Backstage, we had Damage CTRL, and they joined for the big reunion. I jumped out of my seat. I was dancing around the living room," he said. [From 8:45 onwards]
