Dakota Kai sends a message to IYO SKY ahead of WWE Money in the Bank

Dakota Kai and IYO SKY haven't been on the same page on Monday Night RAW lately. However, Kai sent a message in support of The Genius of The Sky ahead of the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in Toronto, Canada.

Earlier this year, Dakota Kai returned to in-ring competition and sided with Damage CTRL. There's been tension between IYO SKY and the faction, as Kai and Kairi Sane have lost several matches on RAW.

Regardless of their losses, the former WWE Women's Champion has been trying to regain momentum for Damage CTRL, as she's set to enter the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match in Toronto.

Ahead of her outing, Dakota Kai sent a message to SKY on Twitter (X). The Auckland-born star wished luck to The Genius of The Sky, adding that ''things would turn around today!''

"Things turn around today. Get 'em, genius 🔥🔥🔥," Kai wrote.

This will be IYO SKY's second consecutive entry in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match following her last year's victory in England.

Dakota Kai seemingly teased a split from Damage CTRL

Dakota Kai's career was stuck in limbo on the developmental brand when she ended her partnership with Wendy Choo and Raquel Rodriguez. She was initially released from WWE and remained silent for a few months. Later, Kai was re-signed by Triple H, and she later joined Damage CTRL.

However, the 36-year-old star hasn't received a singles run on WWE's main roster, similar to IYO SKY or Bayley. The Auckland-born star has spent years in the tag team division, where she captured four sets of Tag Team Championships across brands.

Lately, IYO SKY has been acting difficult with the faction members, as Kai and Kairi Sane have lost multiple matches. Recently, Dakota teased a potential split from the group on Twitter (X) following her defeat in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match Qualifier.

"⏳," Kai wrote.

It'll be interesting to see if the former NXT star makes her presence felt during the Women's Ladder Match at MITB 2024.
